The Phonic Powerpod 865 Plus is an 8-channel powered mixer designed for live sound reinforcement. Similar to the Soundcraft GigRac 600, it features a dual-amplifier architecture providing 2 x 300W / 4Ω.
Core Capabilities
- Dual-Amplifier Routing: Flexible output configuration allows the power to be assigned to “Main + Main” or “Main + Monitor,” allowing one internal amp to drive front-of-house speakers while the other drives stage monitors.
- 8-Channel Input: Consists of 6 mono mic/line channels and 2 stereo mic/line channels.
- Special Inputs: Includes two “Super Hi-Z” inputs optimized for direct connection of electric or acoustic-electric guitars without a DI box.
- Phantom Power: Global for condenser microphones.
- Onboard Processing:
- Digital Effects (DFX): A 32-bit (or 24-bit in some regions) processor with 16 presets, including tap delay and parameter control.
- Graphic EQ: Dual 7-band graphic equalizers for the main and monitor outputs, featuring a Feedback Detection System that lights up LEDs on specific frequency sliders when feedback is detected.
- Unique Features:
- Vocal Eliminator: Designed for karaoke, this feature attempts to remove center-panned vocals from the Tape In signal.
- Molded Cabinet: Housed in a durable, angular resin case that can be mounted on a tripod for easier access.
