The L-Acoustics LA4X is a high-performance amplified controller that combines 4×4 amplification, 96 kHz/32-bit DSP, and networking into a single 2U rack unit. It is designed to drive L-Acoustics loudspeaker systems with precision, offering 1,000 W of power per channel at both 8 and 4 ohms.
Compatible Loudspeaker Systems
The LA4X is designed to drive almost any L-Acoustics enclosure, from compact coaxial speakers to smaller line arrays:
- Coaxial Series: Ideal for the X Series (X8, X12, 5XT) and legacy MTD or P Series.
- Line Sources: Can drive Kara (II), Kiva II, and A Series (A10, A15).
- Subwoofers: Frequently paired with SB15m, SB18, and KS21.
- Large Formats: In “Full Active” mode, it can even drive sections of larger arrays like K2 for maximum discretization.

- Three Connectivity Modes: Operates in “a la carte” (one-to-one for passive speakers), “full active” (discrete drive for active speakers), or “conventional” (parallel-driven speakers) modes.
