The Midas PRO X is the flagship digital mixing console of the PRO Series, designed to work exclusively with the Neutron Audio System Engine. Together, they form a high-performance live sound system capable of handling up to 168 simultaneous input channels and 99 time-aligned, phase-coherent mix buses at a 96 kHz sample rate.
The PRO X surface provides the physical interface for the system, maintaining the familiar workflow of the PRO 3, 6, and 9 while significantly expanding capacity.
- Mixing Capacity: Supports 168 inputs, 96–99 mix buses, and 24 multi-channel FX engines.
- Interface: Features 29 motorized 100 mm faders and two 15-inch daylight-viewable full-color TFT screens.
- Networking: Uses HyperMAC and AES50 technology, allowing for up to 288 inputs and 294 outputs across the network.
- Redundancy: Includes a triple-redundant power supply system (N+1).
Neutron Audio System Engine
The Neutron is the “brain” of the PRO X system, housed in a 7U rack unit. It handles all digital signal processing (DSP) and routing.
- DSP Power: Delivers 108 Gigaflops of performance and is capable of processing up to 800 audio paths.
- Connectivity: Features a HyperMAC router with 192 bidirectional channels over copper or optical fiber, supporting snake connections up to 500 meters.
- Expansion: Includes eight AES50 ports for connecting DL Series stage boxes and other I/O hardware.
- Reliability: Fitted with four DSP cards for N+1 redundancy and dual-redundant snake connections to the control surface.
