Dynamic Control Sections
Each of the four channels includes two primary processing sections:
- Compressor/Limiter: Features adjustable Threshold, Ratio, and Output level controls. It utilizes a Smart Knee Detector (SKD) circuit that automatically transitions between soft and hard knee compression based on the input signal level.
- Expander/Gate: Includes a continuously variable Threshold (Trigger) control and a switch for Fast or Slow release times, making it adaptable for both percussive and sustained instruments.
- Enhancer: A dedicated switch on each channel designed to restore high-frequency detail that can sometimes be lost during heavy compression.
Technical Features & Specs
- Automatic Envelope Generator (AEG): Automatically adjusts the compressor’s attack and release times in real-time according to the input signal.
- Stereo Linking: Channels can be used independently or linked as two stereo pairs (Channels 1/2 and 3/4).
- Connectivity: Equipped with servo-balanced XLR and 1/4″ TRS inputs and outputs.
