The L-Acoustics ARCS II is a constant curvature WST (Wavefront Sculpture Technology) line source enclosure designed for medium-throw applications. It features a 2-way active design with K1-grade drivers, providing high SPL and constant tonal balance over distance.
- Rigging Hardware: Uses captive coupling bars. Specific accessories include the BUMP3 (lifting 2 or 4 units), LIFTBAR (for arrays of 1, 3, 5, or 6 units), and ARCBUMP (for vertical assemblies of up to 4 units).
- Amplification: Exclusively driven by L-Acoustics amplified controllers, primarily the LA8, LA4X, or LA12X, which provide the necessary factory presets and protection.
- Subwoofer Pairing: Often paired with the SB28 subwoofer to extend the low-frequency response down to 25 Hz.
The L-Acoustics SB28 is a high-power subwoofer featuring two 18-inch direct-radiating drivers in a bass-reflex tuned enclosure, designed for large-scale sound reinforcement. It extends the low-frequency operating range of systems like the K1, KUDO, V-DOSC, and ARCS down to 25 Hz.
- Weight: 93 kg (205 lbs).
- Dimensions: 1300 mm (W) x 550 mm (H) x 700 mm (D) / 51.2″ x 21.7″ x 27.6″.
- Connectors: One 4-point speakON connector.
- Rigging: Features integrated Aeroquip rails for line array rigging (flying) and stacking runners for ground-based setups.
- Compatible Amplifiers: Primarily the LA8 or LA12X.
- Drive Modes:
- Standard: Used for general low-end reinforcement with a 60 Hz or 100 Hz low-pass filter.
- Cardioid: Designed to reduce rear sound pressure by reversing one element in an array of four subwoofers.
- Max Units per Amp: Up to 4 SB28 subwoofers can be connected to a single LA8 amplified controller (one per channel).
