The L-Acoustics A15 WIDE is a professional, passive 2-way medium-throw loudspeaker engineered with a 30° enclosure angle to deliver wide, expansive coverage while preserving venue sightlines. Part of the modular A Series, it functions as a highly scalable constant curvature line source element suited for audience distances up to 45 meters.
- Acoustic Design: Consists of a 15″ neodymium cone driver (bass-reflex loaded with L-Vents) and a 3″ diaphragm compression driver mounted to a DOSC waveguide.
- Maximum Output: Capable of producing a high peak output of 141 dB SPL with an exceptional 10 dB low-frequency contour.
- Usable Bandwidth: Operates reliably from 42 Hz to 20 kHz on a single factory preset, meaning it can handle substantial low-end punch without a subwoofer.
- Amplification: Driven passively at a nominal 8 Ω impedance using LA4X, LA8, or LA12X amplified controllers.
- Symmetric Options: 110° (fully open for broad coverage) or 70° (narrower focus to avoid walls).
- Asymmetric Options: 90° configured as either 35°/55° or 55°/35° to keep energy off reflective surfaces while expanding coverage toward the crowd.
- Vertical Line Sources: Can be interlinked with the narrower 10° A15 Focus enclosure or KS21 subwoofers to construct a curved vertical array using the A15-BUMP flying frame.
- Horizontal Radial Arrays: Deploys horizontally using the A15-LIFT accessory to build wide-dispersion horizontal clusters suited for overhead-restricted spaces.
- Standalone Point Source: Features an internal pole socket compatible with the A-MOUNT adapter, enabling easy setup on distance rods or speaker stands for delays and fills.
- Physical Profile: Encased in premium Baltic beech and birch plywood with an IP55 weather-resistance rating, weighing in at a manageable 33 kg (73 lbs).
